Difference between pin code and password

When you created a Jamiipay profile, you created both a pincode and a password, for security reasons.

A pincode is a 4-digit code that you choose upon creating your profile. If you use the app on a regular basis, the app will remember your user credentials and allow you to login by entering the 4 digit code.

The password is often combination of letters and numbers, that you choose upon creating your profile. It is used together with the user credentials (your username, phone number or email) to log in to the app, if you are

  • logging in for the first time
  • logging in from a different phone
  • of if it has been a while since you have logged in
